Preparing Paper
1. Article Preparation
A paper with 3000 words(excluding Endnotes and References) is appropriate. The file size is less than 50 MB(must upload a manuscript and supplementary data(images & figures) separately), and the content is less than 12 pages.
Manuscripts must be in good English. Both British and American usages are accepted, but not a mixture of these. Authors fluent in another language (Korean) are accepted on the full manuscripts, but a title and an abstract must be written in English.
Submissions may be formatted in single or double spacing, preferably in Times New Roman size 12 font. All accepted articles will be correctly formatted for publication.
The text of the article should include the following (see section 4 for further details):
title
abstract
text
references and notes
tables, figure captions and figures
keywords
but not the names of authors, their biographical notes nor any acknowledgments.
Template (Word) for this journal is available here.
JCC Template (ENG)
JCC-논문템플릿 (KOR)
Although the templates will allow you to estimate the total number of pages if typed in single line spacing, it is not essential that you use one, since all accepted articles will, as stated above, be correctly formatted for publication.
2. Title, Abstract, Keywords, Addresses
Please assist us by following these guidelines:
Title: as short as possible, with no abbreviations or acronyms.
Abstract: approximately 100 words, maximum 150.
Keywords: approximately 10-15 words or phrases. Keywords are important for online searching.
Address*: position, department, name of institution, full postal address and email address for each author.
3. Footnotes
The use of footnotes is discouraged. They must be incorporated into the text. In the paper, reference must indicate within the text using the author/ date referencing style recommended by the American Psychological Association(APA), e.g. where author’’s name appears within the text, “”As Kim and Lee (2010: p 7) suggest””, or all in parentheses where author’’s names are not cited specifically in text, e.g. “”As some authors suggest (Kim, 1999; Lee, 2010)””.
4. Figures and Tables
Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text. A caption of no more than 15 words should be provided. The elements in the figures should be large enough to remain legible after the figure has been reduced to the width of a journal column or page.
5. URL
All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://convergence.sookmyung.ac.kr/) should be activated and ready to click.
6. References
The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and must follow the APA system. Some citation examples from the APA style are shown below:
– Periodicals
Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodicals, XX(X), pp-pp. doi:xx.xxxxxxxxx (DOI(digital object identifier)
