Abstract
This study attempted to examine the direction of Korean contemporary dance by analyzing the method of using the chorus shown in ‘淸, Open the Blue Sea’ based on Deleuze’s art theory of art. Focusing on the dismantling and combination of various stage elements, which are an indispensable trend in contemporary dance, I tried to find out how Deleuze’s potential view of challenge and change from the measure of life is expressed in Korean contemporary dance. In particular, in ‘淸, Open the Blue Sea’ an important characteristic of ancient Greek tragedies, the possibility of dispersing the perspective of Korean contemporary dance, which constantly reflects on the boundary between tradition and modernity, was suggested.
